Saturday morning at a gas station is not a place for slow typing. There are six people in line, three cylinders on the scale, and someone's okada is blocking the entrance. A worked example: 40 sales before lunch

Blessing runs a busy roadside gas point in Ibadan. Her price is ₦1,400 per kg. Here is her Saturday morning, timed.

Tips and pitfalls

• Preset the sizes, not the amounts. Prices change; cylinder sizes do not. A preset built on 12.5kg stays correct after every price update, because the amount is recalculated from your current price.
• Do not batch your entries for night time. The whole point of the speed tools is recording at the moment of sale. Evening batch entry reintroduces the memory problem the tools exist to kill.
• Record the payment method truthfully. Cash versus transfer feeds your cash ledger and your payment mix insight. A transfer recorded as cash will make your drawer count look short.
• Give your attendant their own worker login. Workers get per-space permissions, so an attendant can record sales at full speed without access to things like expenses or settings.
• Watch the stock guard near empty. If the app refuses a sale, your recorded stock is exhausted. Either the tank truly is nearly empty or a refill was not recorded. Both are things you want to know immediately, not at month end.
