The pain: the day you cannot be in two places

Every growing POS business hits the same wall. One stand is doing well, so you open a second, or you finally take a day off, and now someone else is holding your drawer. From that day, every shortage has two possible explanations: honest error or something worse, and you have no way to tell them apart.

Step-by-step: setting up a worker

1. Open your POS space and go to workers or team settings.
2. Invite the worker and assign a role. For a typical cashier: can create entries, cannot view profit, cannot delete or reverse.
3. On handover morning, record Add Fund tagged to the worker for the float you are giving them: for example ₦40,000 tagged to hand, tagged to Sunday.
4. During the day, check the per-worker cash list whenever you like, from anywhere.
5. At handover or close, compare the worker's physical count to their my-cash figure. Match means done. A gap has a size and a shift attached to it before anyone gets emotional.

Worked example: Tunde's two-worker Saturday

1. 8 am: Add Fund ₦40,000 to hand, tagged Sade. Her my-cash box shows ₦40,000.
2. Morning shift: Sade records 34 transactions. Her recorded position at 2 pm works out to ₦57,300 in the drawer.
3. 2 pm handover: Sade counts ₦57,300. It matches her figure exactly. Clean handover, five minutes, no drama. Tunde records Kunle's float, ₦45,000 tagged to Kunle, from the counted drawer.
4. Afternoon shift: Kunle records 41 transactions. His end position on the books: ₦63,150.
5. 8 pm close: Kunle counts ₦62,150. There is a gap of exactly ₦1,000, on his shift, on this date. They check his afternoon entries together and find a ₦10,000 withdrawal recorded once but paid out twice to a confused customer who came back. Not theft, a real error, found the same evening, sized to the naira, attached to the right shift.
